Heartbroken, Hugh never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Personality: Burgell is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Gnomes.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Burgell grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Burgell was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Burgell decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She's attracted to the PC.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Aerdeth grew up listening to his mother's many stories. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Aerdeth alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.
