Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Cartwright hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her parents were killed by orcs in a raid when she was still a young child. The orcs captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Ethereal was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the orcs.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her father was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
