History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Elven companion (her 'brother'). She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Alain grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. During her travels, Alain and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Alain discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Alain fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
