History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Some 4 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Abalaba never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Jade grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Jade. After months of barely getting by, Jade managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.
