Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. The war was a terrible time for him, and Alex does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Alex was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

History: Valanthe lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Valanthe fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Abad is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has never given up on his writing dream.
