History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Randal alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Half-Elven people; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Gynk took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up greataxe and armor she uses now. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.
