History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered north to less war torn lands. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. After months of barely getting by, Roywyn managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac
