History: Zook hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Ella was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. She worked as a nervous Adventurer and found it very stressful. She struck the Adventurer job and began her own company from there.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gale was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend.
