History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. History: He was born at the edge of vast island. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Emerald grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Emerald. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She found a children's book about a Human Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
