The goblins captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Matilda never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

History: She was born into a rich family. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He hates brigands. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Theobald isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. Theobald enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Theobald grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tabaxi companion (his 'brother'). He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes.

She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She uses her nature as a weapon; she likes to lead opponents to think her in distress.

History: She was born in a small mountains village. Through the years after Yevelda was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Yevelda's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

Motivation: Revenge; and someone believes her a fraud
