Personality: Fragrant hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Fragrant was born with his father's beautiful face. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was raised in a island tribe. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: She got into the Laborer business at a young age. Her first spouse was a Weaver, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.

History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the north. A gifted student she started as a Spice Merchant, but she got bored and became a Bookbinder. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Bookbinder responsibilities is difficult.
