Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. The war was a terrible time for him, and Thorpe does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Adelaide was born with her mother's beautiful face. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Beggar. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
