History: He comes from a rich western family. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Gifted from a young age, Gimble studied abroad. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Unemployed born in the past three hundred years. She has a habit of throwing herself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: Born in the south to a Unemployed, Biri learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Unemployed for the past few years.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg.
