History: Born to a Priest, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When Hugh reached his early adolescence his Half-Elf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Bookbinder profession.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Half-Elven companion (his 'brother'). He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with music. She constantly tries to fill her life with music. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and money/treasure

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. The war was a terrible time for her, and Ilanis does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Ilanis was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes.
