She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature bastard sword.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he has money and likes to spend it

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Sailor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Sage responsibilities is difficult; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
