History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the east. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. After a long history of fighting, Valanthe and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Shane is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Gifted from a young age, Shane studied abroad. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
