History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.
