History: Synthrin was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Synthrin alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it
