History: Ermina hails from a village terrorized by goblins. Her parents were killed by goblins in a raid when she was still a young child. The goblins captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She does not care much for physical appearances, nor does she care much for other people. She does however care about what she wants and getting it. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Jane grew up listening to her father's many stories. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Gnomish artifacts is her passion; and she desires power and/or immortality

History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He moved out east to avoid the crime he committed. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. While he appears to be a normal Dwarf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
