Description: This northern man is abnormally tall. He prefers to wear flannel. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. His hair is always cut to a buzz. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. The war was a terrible time for him, and Ernest does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the north. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what he was had he not made sure his armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit he wears baggy blue pantaloons and a brown scarf. His red hair is smooth and relatively long. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. A true patriot, Qualen would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Qualen was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Farmer they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Bookbinder, and he later adopted a second son.

Description: A man of a pale complexion, he wears just a grey suit. His golden hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His brown eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: She tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. She carries with her a set of crossbows on her belt, each one with a jet on the hilt. She wears a colorful flower in her brass crest. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are gold.

Personality: She is highly sensitive about her name. She loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Raiann took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up crossbow and armor she uses now. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.
