History: Born in the south to a Miller, Damaia learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has achieved small success as a Miller.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: She is greedy; and an old rival family wants her found

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the south. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and she desires power and/or immortality
