History: He was born in a small plains village. Through the years after Cory was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Cory's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When Burto reached his early adolescence his Halfling mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was granted divine powers by his dying sister.
