Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. He keeps his black hair in a pixie cut. His eyes are amber and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Description: She dresses like a well dressed Marshal does, but does not cut a very imposing figure. She walks with a slouch but will stand straight to her full 5'7" when asserting herself. Her chestnut hair is thinning but still full. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep red.

Personality: She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with her big mouthed big gutted partner. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. A gifted student she started as a Servant, but she got bored and became a Marshal. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 12 years.

Description: A 3'3" western man, he dresses in collared shirts and wears a proper scarf over his head. His hair is long and black with streaks of auburn, and is pulled back with small tan clips. His beard is auburn, braided, and well cared for. His blue eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Mercenary. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Mercenary for hire.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and he would like to get married and retire

Description: He is a man of bearing and well nourished. He wears a blue shirt, with a white mid length shorts with white tights and flats, usually wearing a coat over them. His red hair and beard is wavy and long. He has several tiny opal earrings on each ear.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He was born in the east. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Many goblins want him driven away; and he wants revenge against goblins
