Description: This woman wears suspenders and white workpants. Her shirt is black, and she wears a heavy white leather apron most of the time. She has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized amber on her right hand. Her long chestnut hair reaches down to her waist. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was born at the edge of vast island. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a old dungeon. She would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Volen took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up trident and armor she uses now. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Volen was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the orcs.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Tanner. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and his religion dominates his actions

Description: A stocky lighter skinned man, he wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. His brown hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His eyes are likewise green.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Qualen embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Tanner work with an outfit from a few towns over. Tanner work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Miller born in the past three hundred years. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: He got into the Miller business at a young age. He found a children's book about a Gnome Expert who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and meet up once more with his childhood friend
