Personality: She goes out her way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one she won't accept into her heart. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Half-Orcs.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Volen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a large cave. She would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Volen took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up sickle and armor she uses now. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

History: She was born in a small forest village. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Spy work with an outfit from a few towns over. Spy work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
