History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. After coming to the age of reason, Volen took it upon herself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

She walks with a slouch but will stand straight to her full 5'5" when asserting herself. Her hair is greying and her face has many wrinkles. Her face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: She is envious of other's things. She hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that she so desires. Meriele is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west.
