She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: Roger speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Roger was born on a far northern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Scribe. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Scribe for hire.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She helped her mother out around the business and became quite the natural. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and balancing her hectic life and new laborer responsibilities is difficult

History: He was born in the north. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and he would like to get married and retire
