History: The child of a Brewer, who enjoyed hunting, Whurbin was taken on many hunting expeditions. A gifted student he started as a Brewer, but he got bored and became a Ruler. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Ruler.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Thea was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Detective and was forced into it by her family; and she seems to be bored by most things
