He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. In her 19th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. Through the years after Surina was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Surina's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has never given up on her singing dream.
