History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. History: She comes from a rich western family. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many brigands want her driven away; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Miller responsibilities is difficult; and his religion dominates his actions

Description: An older woman who wears a violet cloak and cross-gartered brown stockings, she is not a threatening figure. She wears a broad hat to hide her balding. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Margery was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Margery decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
