She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She struck the Crown-heir job and began her own company from there.

History: Ranala was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ranala grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ranala. She now owns her own business.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Ar-Baruk's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He became a Seamstress soon after.
