History: She was born in the south. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and seeks redemption

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Cory was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Cory's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. During his travels, Cory and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Cory discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves.
