Don was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Shoemaker responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: Jarana wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Sorcerer, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... Jarana is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: She was born in a small plains village. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
