History: Antrara lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Her mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has decided he is irredeemable
