History: Gilkass was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Gilkass abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has dedicated herself to building a better trade route.

Description: The dark-skinned man stands 3'11" and is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing grey cape and mantle trimmed with soft yellow waves gently in the breeze. He keeps his silver hair in a pixie cut. He has a tattooed face.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. Gardain enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: An older man who prefers to wear black pants and tee shirts, he is not a threatening figure. He has dyed his greying chestnut hair a little too much giving a sharp chestnut color. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are gray.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: He is greedy; and retire the richest man in the north

Description: A stocky darker skinned woman, she prefers to wear flannel. She has wavy blonde hair. This gray eyed southerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She helped her mother out around the business and became quite the natural. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: To unite with her brother; and sabotage a competitor
