History: Born in the south to a Body Guard, Myev learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. In her 13th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has worked as a Body Guard like her mother before her.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. The war was a terrible time for him, and Theobald does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born to a Miller, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bather hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Alvyn was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Marshal for the past few years.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and balancing his hectic life and new marshal responsibilities is difficult

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He has all his life been fascinated with writing.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his religion dominates his actions
