Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Roland was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Stableman work with an outfit from a few towns over. Stableman work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the west. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Peren and his spouse have recently divorced.

Description: An older woman who wears a red costume with the symbols of the sun god on her torso, she is not a threatening figure. Her hair is always cut to a buzz. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are blue.

Personality: This woman loves poetry and to teach people poetry more than just about anything. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing poetry.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered poetry. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
