Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. The war was a terrible time for him, and John does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. John was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Her gray eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: She likes to be helpful to her clients. She likes to prescribe proper advice to her clients. She has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: She got into the Layabout business at a young age. While she appears to be a normal Gnome, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Layabout for hire.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult; and expand her business

History: He was born in a small mountains village. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature kukri.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and he is unsatisfied with his job

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.
