Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Astaro is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Astaro was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: She got into the Scribe business at a young age. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving River alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
