History: Darrow hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Darrow was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Crown-heir. She's also a talented Stylist, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she is unsatisfied with her job

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered drow who tried to eat his hand. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: Leucis hails from a village terrorized by giants. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Many giants want him driven away.
