Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. His auburn hair is thinning but still full. His eyes are blue and catlike.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Corkitron was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, giants burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying south to reunite his family. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
