One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Scribe. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Scribe.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He tends to his Bowyer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
