Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Vani embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Vani grew up listening to her father's many stories. While she appears to be a normal Halfling, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of her oldest sister, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Tieflings became a terror of the countryside. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: She wants to meet her childhood hero; and her religion dominates her actions

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Elven conditions. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
