She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Quarethon was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Quarethon never married again.
