History: Merla hails from a village terrorized by goblins. She married young, but lost her spouse to goblins. Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Merla isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Halfling unity. She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Merla grew up listening to her father's many stories. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature kukri.
