History: Hubert was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Gnomish companion (his 'brother'). He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. She married young, but lost her spouse to drow. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.
