History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Shautha was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Blacksmith. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Kithri's homeland. Kithri decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and regain custody of her son

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Adam fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
