History: Makaria lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents enrolled her in a Ranger school at a young age so that she could practice her arcane talents. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her; and doesn't want to be a carpenter and was forced into it by her family

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many gnolls want him driven away.

Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Tabaxi in existence. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
