Description: An older woman who wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized brown coat, she is not a threatening figure. Her black hair is lengthy. Her amber eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Born to a Barkeep, her father struggled to pay the bills. She took after her father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her father taught her to defend herself. When her father died while fighting dire rats, the young Elysande began to lead the lost caravan. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away; and retire the richest woman in the south

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Gnomes became a terror of the countryside. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Description: She appears as an extremely gaunt Elf, and stands approximately 4'10". She wears blue robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally she wears more armor. She prefers to carry a bow, but if one is not available she will default to her lance, and her gloved hand is found clutching a lance. Her black hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. Her eyes are likewise hazel.

Personality: She hates dire rats. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: When she was but 6 years old her parents immigrated from the south. She found a children's book about a Elf Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Birel was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend.
