History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Umpen was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Dilettante. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Mella lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Butcher hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.
